The most important part of each day at TFY Ireland will be the time we spend studying God’s word. We’re really looking forward to these experienced pastors helping us to dig deeper into the teaching of Scripture. Over the next few weeks we’ll be telling you a little bit more about the subjects we’ll be studying and who will be lecturing. Check back here for updates!
The Kingship of Christ
TFY Ireland will begin with lectures on the Kingship of Jesus Christ. You can’t get a more important topic than that! Over the course of the week we’re going to see how this fundamental principle affects everything including how we work, worship, and witness.
Our first speaker will be David McCullough. He has been serving as a minister for 25 years in Faughan, Dromore and Woodstock Road congregations. He is married to Heather and has 5 children.
Philip Moffett is our second lecturer of the week. He is married to Laura and they have one infant son, James. Philip has been minister in the Cullybackey congregation for 10 years. He enjoys rugby, reading, coffee and spending time with his family.
Philip’s topic is “The Church”. Does the church really matter? Does it matter how the church is organised? Is church membership important? The answer to these questions is an emphatic yes. The Bible tells us that Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her (Ephesians 5.25). This should be enough to let us know that the topic of the church matters!
